As one of the key work-streams at the CNM, our Infrastructure programme will explore, debate and recommend policy proposals for the region’s infrastructure in its broadest sense, including transport, energy, water, digital, social infrastructure, and housing, as well as key enablers including policy, investment, planning, and skills.
We want to create a space for conversations which don’t happen anywhere else, exploring the interconnectivity between the complex system of systems our infrastructure and natural environment are part of.

Connections for Prosperity 23 – a summary of our conversations
In July 2023, we hosted our first conference, ‘Connections for Prosperity: Infrastructure’.
The conference welcomed over 140 delegates to Warwick Conferences, with guest speakers including Andy Street CBE (Mayor of the West Midlands), Sir John Armitt (Chair, UK National Infrastructure Commission) and Professor Denise Bower (Group external engagement director, Mott MacDonald).
This report is a summary of our discussions. With special thanks to Dr Steve McCabe (Birmingham City University) and our friends at Mott MacDonald for producing the report.
