Dr Yoric Irving-Clarke is an experienced housing practitioner with over 25 years’ experience working across homelessness, supported housing, housing for older people and general needs provision. He holds a PhD in Social Policy with his thesis looking at the history of supported housing provision in England with a particular focus on evaluating the Supporting People programme (2003-2010). He has also completed two evaluation reports on No Second Night Out in Leicester and Leicestershire respective as a consultant.
Yoric’s research interests are mainly the concept of ‘home’ as opposed to ‘housed’ and how it can be applied in housing practice and using concepts from political philosophy to underpin our housing policy responses. Yoric also has research interests in supported housing and domestic abuse policy.
